Dr. Jonathan Halford, MD, FAES

Dr. Jonathan J. Halford has 22 years of experience in the fields of Neurology, Sleep Medicine, and Clinical Neurophysiology. He earned his BA in Religious Studies from Duke University and his MD from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine. After completing his residency in Neurology and Psychiatry, he went on to complete a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology at Duke University Medical Center. Today, this expert is board-certified in Sleep Medicine, Epilepsy, Neurology, and Psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Formerly, this expert held roles as the Director of the Adult Epilepsy Program and Associate Professor in the Departments of Neurology, Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Medical University of South Carolina. Currently, he serves as the Director of the Translational Research Unit, Associate Director of Technical Development in the Clinical Neurophysiology Laboratory, and Professor of Neurology, Psychiatry, and Behavioral Sciences at the Medical University of South Carolina. He also serves as the Director of the VA Epilepsy Centers of Excellence Consortium Site and the Clinical Neurophysiology Laboratory at Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center, where he also serves as a Staff Neurologist in the Department of Neurology.
