Dr. Joan B. Gerbasi has 20 years of experience in the field of Forensic Psychiatry. She earned her BA from the University of Virginia, her JD from Yale University, and her MD from the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine. After completing a residency in Psychiatry at the University of Virginia Medical Center, she completed a fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Today, this expert is board certified in both Forensic Psychiatry and Psychiatry through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Formerly, this expert served as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine and as an Attending Psychiatrist for Traditions Behavioral Health, A Psychological Corporation, and Geisinger Health System. She currently serves as an Expert Witness and as a Clinical and Forensic Psychiatrist at her private practice, Joan B. Gerbasi, JD, MD.
