Dr. James Gebel, MD, MS, FAHA

Dr. James M. Gebel, Jr. has 25 years of experience in the field of Neurology. He earned his BS in Natural Sciences from Xavier University, his MD from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, and his MSCR from the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health. He completed internships in General Surgery and Medicine, a residency in Neurology, and a fellowship in Neurocritical Care all at Cleveland Clinic. He also completed a fellowship in Stroke Neurology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Today this expert is board certified in Neurology and Vascular Neurology through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is also certified in Neurocritical Care through the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties and a Registered Physician in Neurovascular Interpretation through the American Society of Neuroimaging. Formerly, this expert served as an Associate Professor of Neurology and as the Chair of Neurology at the Northeast Ohio Medical University College of Medicine. He was also the Head of Neurology and the Medical Director of the Stroke Program at Cleveland Clinic Akron General. He currently serves as a Physician and the Medical Director of Neuroscience Development and Strategic Planning at Deaconess Health Care System.
