Dr. James Lyons, MD

This accomplished expert dermatopathologist earned his BS in engineering from Cornell University and his MD from Indiana University. He continued to complete an internship at St. Vincent Hospital, two residencies in family medicine and anatomic pathology at the University of Tennessee and a fellowship in dermatopathology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He is currently board certified in family medicine, anatomic pathology and dermatopathology and remains active in his field as a member of the College of American Pathologists. Formerly, this expert was a major in the family practice clinical practice branch of the United States Air Force, before serving as the assistant county medical examiner in Knoxville, TN and as the chair of pathology at the DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine. He additionally served as an attending pathologist at AmeriPath and Dermpath Diagnostics and was a clinical assistant professor at Loyola University. Currently, this expert is a professor of pathology at a medical college in Alabama, where he also serves as the medical director of a laboratory and a pathologist at regional medical center.
