Dr. James D. Fortenberry has 33 years of experience in the field of Pediatrics and Critical Care Medicine. He earned his BA in History and Zoology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his MD from the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. After completing his residency in Pediatrics at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center, he went on to complete his fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care at Texas Children's Hospital.
