Dr. Geoff Pullum, PhD

Dr. Geoffrey K. Pullum has extensive experience in the field of General Linguistics. He earned his B.A. in Language with First Class Honours from the University of York and his Ph.D. in General Linguistics from University College London. Dr. Pullum is currently a Freelance Writer, Lecturer, and Linguistic Consultant based in Alexandria, Virginia, and Edinburgh, United Kingdom. He is also a Professor Emeritus of General Linguistics at the University of Edinburgh. With a focus on the Grammar of Standard English and Computational Linguistics, Dr. Pullum has held various prestigious academic positions including Professor of Linguistics at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
