Dr. Gary N. Asher has over 15 years of experience in the field of Family Medicine. He earned his M.D. in International Health and Medicine from Columbia University - Ben Gurion University of the Negev. After completing his residency in Family Medicine at Mountain Area Health and Education Center, he went on to complete a fellowship in Academic Family Medicine at UNC Family Medicine. Today, Dr. Asher is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Formerly, he held roles as Research Associate Professor at UNC Department of Family Medicine and as Clinical Instructor at UNC Department of Family Medicine. Currently, he serves as Research Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at UNC and as Director of the Emergency Department at Chatham Hospital.
