Dr. Gary M. Vilke has 29 years of experience in Emergency Medicine. He earned his BS in Zoology from the University of California, Berkeley, and his MD from UC San Diego School of Medicine. He completed an internship in Surgery and a residency in Emergency Medicine at UC San Diego Medical Center. Today, this expert is board certified in Emergency Medicine. Formerly, this expert held roles as the Co-Medical Director in the Department of Emergency Medicine at UC San Diego Medical Center and as the Medical Director of the Chula Vista Fire Department. Currently, he serves as the Vice Chair of Clinical Operations in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of California San Diego and as the Clinical Service Chief of Emergency Medicine Medical Staff at UC San Diego Health. He also serves as a Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine at UC San Diego School of Medicine and as the Medical Director of Risk Management at UC San Diego Health.
