Dr. Gary Freed, MD

Dr. Gary Freed, MD earned his BA from The University of Texas at Austin and his MD from Baylor College of Medicine. After completing his residency in pediatrics from Baylor College of Medicine, this expert went on to complete a prestigious fellowship in preventative medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is also active in his field as a member of numerous medical societies including the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Society for Pediatric Research where he served as president for three years. In addition, he has published 293 journal articles and book chapters. Formerly, he held roles as a professor of pediatrics, research associate, program director for preventative health services, and core faculty at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Additionally, he has served as a faculty associate, core faculty, and associate chair of the department for pediatrics and communicable diseases at the University of Michigan. Currently, he is a professor of pediatrics, community health, health management and policy at a university in Michigan. Additionally, he is a professor of population health at a university in Melbourne, Australia.
