Dr. Gary A. Salzman has 38 years of experience in the fields of Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, and Critical Care Medicine. He earned his BA in Biology from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and his MD from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. After completing both an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, he went on to complete a fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine at University Health Truman Medical Center. Formerly, this expert served as the Assistant Dean of the Curriculum and as an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Medicine. He is also the Vice Chair for Research in the Department of Medicine, Chief of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, Director of the Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship Program, and a Senior Docent in the Section of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Medicine. Moreover, he is a Physician and the Medical Director of Respiratory Therapy at the University Health Truman Medical Center and an Adjunct Associate Professor of Philosophy at the University of Missouri-Kansas City College of Arts and Sciences.
