He earned his BA from Rutgers The State University of New Jersey, his MD from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, and his Ph.D. from Columbia University New York. After completing his residency in Internal Medicine, he went on to complete a prestigious fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Duke University Hospital.
