Dr. Edward Murphy, MD

Dr. Edward C. Murphy has 48 years of experience in the field of Neurological Surgery. He earned his BA and BSEE from the University of Notre Dame and his MD from the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. After completing an internship in Surgery at NorthShore University HealthSystem - Evanston Hospital and a residency in Neurological Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, he went on to complete a fellowship in Neurological Surgery at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. Today, this expert is board certified in Neurological Surgery. Formerly, he served as an Associate Professor of Neurological Surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and as Clinical Faculty at the Baylor College of Medicine. He currently serves as Active Staff and as the Associate Medical Director of the International Internship Program at St. Joseph Medical Center. He is also Active Staff at Houston Methodist Hospital and the Owner of Edward C. Murphy, M.D., P.A., where he also serves as a Neurosurgeon.
