Dr. Douglas E. Tucker has over 34 years of experience in the field of Psychiatry, specializing in Addiction Medicine and Forensic Psychiatry. He earned his BS in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Michigan and his MD from the University of Michigan Medical School. After completing his internship in Psychiatry at the University of California Los Angeles Medical Center, and his residency and fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry at Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior, he went on to complete another fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry at Rush University Medical Center. Today, this expert is board certified in Psychiatry, Addiction Psychiatry, and Forensic Psychiatry, as well as Addiction Medicine. Formerly, this expert held roles as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the University of California, San Francisco, School of Medicine, and as a Staff Psychiatrist at Haight Ashbury Free Clinics, Inc. and Black Rock City Emergency Services Department. He also served as a Forensic Evaluator for King County Prosecuting Attorneys and the Washington State Department of Corrections. Currently, he serves as a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the University of California, San Francisco, School of Medicine.
