Dr. David Copenhaver, MD, MPH

Dr. David Copenhaver, MD, MPH has over a decade of experience in the field of anesthesiology and interventional pain medicine. He earned his BS in physiology from the University of California, Davis, before earning his MD and his MPH from the University of California, Los Angeles. He went on to complete his residency and fellowship in anesthesiology at Columbia University, with an additional fellowship in interventional pain medicine at the University of California, Davis. Today, this expert is board certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine. He is a member of many prestigious organizations, including the American Academy of Pain Medicine, the American Pain Society, and the International Association for the Study of Pain. He has published 13 peer-reviewed journal articles, 6 textbook chapters, and numerous abstracts in his field. This expert formerly served as an assistant professor of anesthesiology and pain medicine at the University of California, Davis. Currently, he serves as the director of two pain management programs and as an associate professor of anesthesiology and pain medicine at a university in California. In addition, he is the chief executive officer at a non-profit in California.
