Dr. Daniel Lee Swagerty Jr has 35 years of experience in the field of Family Medicine and Geriatric Medicine. He earned his BA in Human Biology and Psychology from the University of Kansas, his MD from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, and his MPH in Preventive Medicine from the University of Kansas Medical Center. After completing his residency in Family Practice at the University of Kansas Medical Center, he went on to complete a fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Today, this expert is board certified in Family Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, Hospice, and Palliative Medicine. Formerly, this expert held roles as the Associate Director for Medical Education at the Landon Center on Aging at the University of Kansas Medical Center, as the Director of Geriatric Medicine Fellowship at the University of Kansas School of Medicine, and as an Adjunct Professor at the KU School of Health Professions. Currently, he serves as a Professor in the Departments of Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine and as the Chair of the Department of Geriatric Medicine at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine, as an Inpatient Consultant in Geriatric Medicine at Miami Valley Hospital, and as a Professor Emeritus of Geriatric Medicine at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He also serves as an Attending Physician in the Geriatric Medicine Assessment Clinic and as the Clinic Director of Geriatric Medicine at Wright State Physicians, Inc.
