Dr. Daniel J. Sexton has 45 years of experience in the field of Infectious Disease. He earned his BS from Loras College and his MD from the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. After completing an internship in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital, he spent time as a Medical Epidemiologist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention before completing a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Duke University Hospital and a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Missouri School of Medicine. Today, this expert is board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease. Formerly, this expert served as Vice-Chief of Medicine and as an Attending Physician on the Infectious Diseases Consults Service at Duke University Medical Center. He was also a Professor of Infectious Diseases and the Director of the Duke Antimicrobial Stewardship Outreach Network and Duke Infection Control Outreach Network at the Duke University School of Medicine. Currently, he serves as a Professor Emeritus of Infectious Diseases at Duke University School of Medicine.
