Dr. Arif Somani, MD, FRCPC

Dr. Arif Somani has 29 years of experience in the field of Pediatrics. He earned his BS in Human Biology from the University of Toronto and his MD from the University of Toronto Temerty Faculty of Medicine. After completing his residency in Family Practice at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, he completed another residency in Pediatrics at the University of Minnesota Medical School. He went on to complete a fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care at Children's Hospital - London Health Sciences Centre. Today, this expert is board certified in Critical Care Medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics and Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Formerly, this expert held roles as an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at McMaster University and as a Physician in the Department of Pediatric Critical Care at McMaster Children's Hospital - Hamilton Health Sciences. Currently, he serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities Campus and as a Physician in the Department of Pediatric Critical Care at M Health Fairview Masonic Children's Hospital, where he also serves as the Medical Director of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
