Dr. Anthony DiGioia has 30 years of experience in the field of Orthopedic Surgery. He earned his BS in Civil Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, his MS in Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, and his MD from Harvard Medical School. After completing both an internship in General Surgery and a residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, he went on to complete a fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital. Today, this expert is board-certified in Orthopedic Surgery. Formerly, he served as the Director of the Center for Orthopedic Research at UPMC - Presbyterian Shadyside, as the Director of the Institute for Computer Assisted Orthopedic Surgery at the Western Pennsylvania Hospital, and as an Adjunct Faculty Member at the Robotics Institute within Carnegie Mellon University. He currently serves as the Founder and Medical Director of both the Bone & Joint Center and PFCC Innovation Center at the UPMC Magee-Women's Hospital, where he also serves as a Co-Director of the Unique Adult Reconstruction Fellowship.
