Dr. Anne Schmitz

Dr. Anne Schmitz has nearly a decade of experience in the field of biomechanical and biomedical engineering. She received her BS in mechanical engineering and her MS and PhD in biomedical engineering, all from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. She did her PhD research in the Neuromuscular Biomechanics Lab on the predictions of muscle forces during movement and her postdoctoral and her post-doctoral work in the BioMotion Lab at the University of Kentucky-Lexington where she measured joint kinematics and running mechanics. She is a member of the Biomedical Engineering Society and American Society of Biomechanics, a reviewer for a number of academic journals and has published over twenty peer-reviewed works. Formerly, she was an assistant professor of biomedical engineering at Gannon University. Currently, she is the program director of the graduate manufacturing engineering program and an assistant professor in the department of and technology at a university in Wisconsin.
