Dr. Allen S. Chen

Dr. Allen S. Chen is in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation and specializes in spinal intervention. He earned his BA in environmental science and public policy from Harvard University and went on to earn his MPH in international family health at UCLA's School of Public Health. After receiving his MD from NYU School of Medicine, this expert went on to complete an internship in internal medicine at the University of Maryland. He also completed a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Washington and an ACGME pain fellowship at UCLA. This expert is currently board certified in both pain medicine and physical medicine and rehabilitation. He is a leader in his field and is a member of three societies focused on his specialty. He has authored several articles and been involved with many spine-related research studies. Additionally, this expert has been invited to lecture on spinal intervention numerous times throughout his career. Currently, he serves as the chief of the physical medicine and rehabilitation interventional spine unit and as co-director of an adult cerebral palsy center at a spine center in California.
