Dr. Alan W. Flake has over 32 years of experience in the field of Pediatric Surgery. He earned his BS in Chemistry from the University of Arkansas Fayetteville and his MD from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Medicine. After completing his internship in Surgery and residency in General Surgery at the University of California San Francisco Medical Center, he went on to complete a research fellowship in Fetal Biology and Therapy at the University of California, San Francisco, School of Medicine. He also completed postdoctoral training in General Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco, School of Medicine, and a fellowship in Pediatric Surgery at the Children's Hospital Medical Center. Today, this expert is board certified in Pediatric Surgery. Formerly, this expert held roles as the Director of Fetal Surgery at Children's Hospital of Michigan and Associate Professor of Surgery, Obstetrics, and Gynecology at Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Currently, he serves as the Ruth M. and Tristram C. Colket, Jr. Endowed Chair of Pediatric Surgery and the Director of the Center for Fetal Research at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and as a Professor of Surgery, Obstetrics, and Gynecology at Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
