This expert researches how people access and respond to safety and health risk information, examining the effectiveness of consumer product and industrial equipment warnings. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication from Kansas State University and both his Master's and doctoral degrees in Communication Studies from the University of Kansas. He has published his scholarly findings on the effectiveness of product warning labels and the communication of risk. He currently serves as a full professor of Communication at a prominent Texas university.
