This medical toxicologist is a fellow of the American College of Medical Toxicology and an adjunct associate professor of Toxicology at a respected Florida college of public health. In addition to an MD obtained in Mexico, he earned his doctorate in Toxicology from the University of Minnesota, with a Master's degree in Public Health from the University of Texas at Houston. He was a Poison Specialist Certified with the American Association of Poison Control Centers for more than twenty years and is an active member of the American Academy of Clinical Toxicology and the Society of Toxicology. He has over a quarter century of experience performing medical toxicological assessments on individuals and communities exposed to toxic substances such as pesticides, heavy metals, industrial and environmental chemicals substances both at the community level as well as occupationally.
