Expert Qualifications

This highly qualified expert has over 45 years of experience in the industrial hygiene and occupational health field. He earned his BS in chemistry and biology from the University of Alabama followed by an MS in environmental health engineering from the University of Cincinnati. He is a certified safety professional and certified industrial hygienist, as well as a licensed professional engineer. He is active in his field as a member of numerous professional societies, including the American Academy of Industrial Hygiene and the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. He has also published and lectured extensively in the environmental health and safety space, and he is an editor for the Applied Industrial Hygiene Journal. He has formerly served as an environmental engineer at the Naval Ordinance Environmental Health Center, as a safety and health compliance officer at OSHA, as the industrial hygiene director at the Naval Nuclear Shipyard and Naval Regional Medical Center, as an OSHA documentation manager for the TVA, and as a corporate director for Alcon Laboratories Pharmaceutical. He is currently a principal at an environmental and occupational health consultancy, as well as the director of the North Texas section of a national industrial hygiene association.
