Expert Qualifications

This patient care technician has been working in the field of safe patient handling and mobility for over 15 years. She earned her BS in international area studies from Drexel University and is certified as a safe patient handling professional. She is active in her field as a member of the Association of Safe Patient Handling Professionals and as an author of several articles for the International Journal for Safe Patient Handling. She has formerly worked in acute care and as a physical therapy aide, with both roles focusing on safe patient handling. In these positions, she also worked for the hospital as a safety trainer and gave lectures during rounds. Currently, this expert is an independent consultant in safe patient handling and mobility.
