Expert Qualifications

This qualified expert has over 20 years of experience in nursing, having work in critical care, step-down, medical-surgical, renal transplant, and, most recently, post-operative care. She graduate cum laude from Old Dominion University with her BS in nursing and is certified in perianesthesia nursing, advanced cardiovascular life support, basic life support, and pediatric advanced life support. She is active in her field as a member of both the American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses and the Virginia Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses. She formerly served as a staff nurse and preceptor at Bon Secours - Maryview Hospital and the staff nurse at Sentara Healthcare - Norfolk General Hospital. For the past 10 years, this expert has worked for a healthcare system in Virginia, working in the post-anesthesia care unit as the unit coordinator, permanent charge, and preceptor nurse.
