Expert Qualifications

This highly-qualified expert has over 10 years of experience as a physiatrist. He received his BA in mathematics and philosophy from Yale University before earning his MD from the University of California San Francisco. He subsequently completed an internship at Highland General Hospital and a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Stanford University, where he served as both academic chief resident and senior chief resident during his program. This expert is board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation. His expertise includes brain injury, amputations, polytrauma, spinal cord injury, burns, electrodiagnostics, pain management, musculoskeletal medicine, joint injections, botulinum toxin injection, nerve blocks, and rehabilitation from orthopedic surgeries. He formerly served as the medical director of physical medicine and rehabilitation at the Palo Alto VA, an 18-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation unit that is 1 of 5 specialized centers in the US treating soldiers hurt in combat. This expert is currently a clinical assistant professor and the course director at a top medical school in California, as well as an attending physician at a polytrauma veteran rehabilitation center.
