This highly qualified expert has over 20 years of experience in the field of nursing, specializing as a pediatric nurse practitioner. She received her BSN from Georgetown University before earning her MSN in maternal-infant health and PhD in nursing and behavioral pediatrics at The Catholic University of America. She has additionally earned two post-master's certificates: a pediatric nurse practitioner certificate and a family nurse practitioner certificate. This expert is a licensed advanced practice registered nurse and certified as a registered nurse practitioner, pediatric nurse practitioner, and pediatric primary care mental health specialist. She is active in her field as a member of several organizations, including the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and the Association of Faculties of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. She is also highly involved in research, having received numerous grants and authored several scientific articles. She has formerly served as an assistant professor in the pediatric nurse practitioner program and director of the doctor of nursing practice program at The Catholic University of America.
