Expert Qualifications

This highly-qualified expert has extensive experience in occupational medicine, pain management, and physical medicine and rehabilitation. He received his BA in biology from the University of Pennsylvania before earning his MPH in public health leadership from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his MD at Temple University. He subsequently completed an internal medicine internship at the Naval Medical Center, an occupational and environmental medicine residency at Duke University, and both a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation and a fellowship in pain medicine at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. He is board-certified by both the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the American Board of Preventive Medicine, holding certifications in physical medicine and rehabilitation, pain medicine, occupational and environmental medicine, and undersea and hyperbaric medicine. This expert is active in his field as a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine. He formerly served as the associate program director for the anesthesia pain medicine fellowship at the National Capital Consortium and the assistant department head of occupational and preventive medicine at the Naval Health Clinic in San Diego. He spent several years working at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, serving as the White House medical unit physician, the associate program director of the pain medicine fellowship, and the director of interventional pain medicine. Currently, this expert serves as the director of interventional medicine at a major medical center in Washington DC and as an assistant professor of physical medicine and rehabilitation at a medical school in Maryland.
