He was a full professor of neurotology and director of both a research laboratory and the cochlear implant program at the University of California-San Francisco and became the Chairman of OTO-HNS at New York University School of Medicine. He is currently a full professor and vice chair of research at an Ivy League University as well as the director of the neurotology program where he has authored countless peer reviewed journal articles, chapters, and abstracts on the topic of otology & neurotology.
