He completed his General Surgery Internship at the University of Kansas School of Medicine and his Residency in Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of prestigious medical societies such as the Kansas City Ophthalmology & Otolaryngology Society and the American Academy of Otolaryngology. He is the recipient of distinguished Honors and Awards such as the Award for Academic Excellence in Pharmacology and Gross Anatomy, the Dr. William Angle Memorial Scholarship Award and elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha National Honor Society. This expert has published 5 peer-reviewed journal articles, 3 book chapter contributions and 8 poster presentations. He is currently the Division Chief of Otolaryngology at a major hospital and serves as Staff Physician.
