This highly qualified expert earned her BS in physiology and her BA in psychology from McGill University. She earned her OD from the SUNY College of Optometry and went on to complete her residency in ocular disease and primary care at the VA Hudson Valley Health Care System. She has received numerous honors for her teaching work including the Distinguished Teaching Award for Clinical Supervision at the University of Waterloo. She is active in her field as a member of numerous medical societies including the American Public Health Association (APHA), the Canadian Association of Optometrists (CAO), and the Ontario Association of Optometrists (OAO), among others. She has experience as a practicing optometrist for both corporate and private practice optometry firms in NY and ON.
