Expert Qualifications

This highly-qualified expert is an MIT-trained engineer specialized in mechanical engineering, process engineering, oil and gas, flow assurance, and thermal-hydraulics with 40 years of experience in his field. After graduating from the industrial engineer program at the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in Venezuela, he went on to study at MIT, earning an MSc, an ME, and a PhD. He is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Texas and is a Bechtel-certified engineering supervisor and project engineering manager, as well as a Bechtel distinguished engineer. This expert is active in his field as a member of several organizations, including the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers. He worked as an engineer for several firms in Venezuela for over 25 years before moving to the United States to serve as BP America's process engineering team coordinator. He then went on to serve as a process engineering manager for Jacobs Engineering and a flow assurance manager for both Technip and Bechtel Engineering. He has received several honors and awards for his work, including being the first Hispanic recipient of the Madam Curie Research Grant. Currently, this expert serves as the president of a mechanical, process, and flow assurance engineering consulting firm in Texas.
