This highly qualified expert has nearly 30 years of experience in hepatology. She received her BA in biology from Columbia University before earning her MD from Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center before completing two fellowships: one in hepatology at Mount Sinai Medical Center and one in gastroenterology at State University Hospital at Stony Brook. This expert is board-certified in internal medicine with a subspecialty in gastroenterology. She is active in her field as a member of both the International and American Association for the Study of Liver Disease, as well as the American Gastroenterological Association. She is highly involved in hepatology research and is a leading researcher in the realm of liver disease, having authored numerous publications on the topic. She has formerly served as the director of hepatology and clinical professor of medicine at NYU Langone Medical Center, global head of hepatology for Kadmon Pharmaceuticals, and global development lead of nonalcoholic steatohepatitis for Shire Pharmaceuticals. Currently, this expert serves as the CEO of a liver disease consulting company, as well as the head of liver disease development clinical sciences for a pharmaceutical company based in New York.
