Expert Qualifications

This qualified expert is a leading member in the field of genetic counseling. She earned her BS in human biology from Indiana University and her MS in genetic counseling from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She is a board certified and licensed genetic counselor in 7 states including Tennessee, Illinois, Utah, Ohio, Kentucky, Oklahoma, and Virginia. She is very active in her field as a member and diplomate of the American Board of Genetic Counseling and holds full membership at the National Society of Genetic Counselors. In addition, this expert has published 4 peer-reviewed articles and has presented her work on over 20 occasions. Formerly, this expert worked as an oncology genetic counselor at the University Genetics Oncology Clinic at the University of Tennessee Medical Center before moving to Arkansas and working as the genetic services coordinator and oncology genetic counselor at the Highlands Oncology Group. She also was a clinical instructor of the genetic counseling program at the University of Arkansas. Currently, this expert is a guest lecturer at a university in Arkansas, and works in telehealth for two genetic counseling companies and while also providing services to multiple insurance companies. She is also the founder and genetic counselor for the first genetic counseling practice in South-Central and Southern Illinois.
