Expert Qualifications

This highly-qualified expert has 25 years of experience as a surgeon and is actively involved in acute care surgery which includes trauma, surgical critical care (ICU), and emergency general surgery. He earned his BS in biological sciences and chemistry from the University of California at Irvine and his MD from the University of California at San Francisco. He subsequently completed a general surgery residency at UCLA and a fellowship in critical care and trauma at the University of Miami. This expert is board-certified in general surgery, surgical critical care, and neurologic critical care. He is active in his field as a member of several organizations, such as the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, and the Association of Academic Surgeons. Throughout his career, he has held a variety of distinguished roles, including the medical director of the trauma intensive care unit at Jackson Memorial Hospital, the chief of surgical services at Jackson South Community Hospital, and the trauma medical director at both Northside Hospital and Osceola Regional Medical Center. Currently, this expert is based in Florida where he serves as an associate professor of surgery at a university and as a trauma surgeon at a medical center.
