She earned her MD from Bangalore Medical College in her home country of India and subsequently completed a residency in internal medicine at Madras Medical College. Upon moving to the United States, she completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Florida, a fellowship in gastroenterology at the Mayo Clinic, and a fellowship in transplant hepatology at Stanford University. She is currently pursuing her PhD in cancer biology at Stanford University. This expert is active in her field as a member of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, the American Gastroenterological Association, and the American College of Gastroenterology. She is also highly involved in research, having authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters and spoken at multiple conferences as an invited speaker.
