Expert Qualifications

This highly qualified expert earned her MD from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon. She then went on to complete her Residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Psychiatry. After her residency, she then completed her fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry at Case Western Reserve University. She subsequently obtained her certification as a Medical Review Officer. In addition, this expert is the American Psychiatric Association's Early Career Psychiatry Trustee at Large, serving on the Board of Trustees of the American Psychiatric Association. She also sits on several Councils and Committees for the APA. She is recognized as an expert in the fields of Addiction Psychiatry and Forensic Psychiatry. This member is a member of numerous medical societies that include being a Fellow of The American Psychiatric Association, a Member of the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry, The Brooklyn Psychiatric Society, The New York State Psychiatric Association, The American Academy of Psychiatry and Law, and The Medical Society of the State of New York. This expert has published 9 articles and 1 book chapter. Formerly, this expert was a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Stony Brook. Currently, this expert is an Inpatient Unit Director at A New York Medical Center.
