This highly qualified expert has 30 years of experience in environmental and geotechnical engineering. He received his BS in civil engineering from Lehigh University before earning both his MS and PhD in civil engineering, geotechnical/geoenvironmental from the University of Texas. He is currently a certified environmental engineer and a licensed professional engineer. This expert is active in his field as a member of numerous associations, including the US National Academy of Engineering, the American Association for Advancement of Science, the American Geophysical Union, and the International Geosynthetics Society. He is highly involved in his field, having authored hundreds of research publications throughout his career. For his work, he has received numerous awards. He has formerly served as the chair of civil and environmental engineering at both the University of Washington and the University of Wisconsin, the director of the Wisconsin geotechnics laboratory at the University of Wisconsin, and a professor of geological, civil, and environmental engineering at the University of Wisconsin. Currently, this expert is the dean of the school of engineering and applied science at a well-known university in Virginia.
