Expert Qualifications

This qualified expert is a board-certified emergency medicine physician that earned his BS in biology from Creighton University and his MD from the University of Iowa. He completed a residency in emergency medicine and a fellowship in primary care sports medicine at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. This expert is active in his field as a member of multiple professional organizations including the American College of Emergency Physicians, the American Academy of Emergency Medicine, and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine. He is the author of numerous academic publications and has delivered numerous presentations on topics in his field. Formerly, this expert served as an emergency ice physician for the Chicago Blackhawks, a medical liaison for the NFL, and most recently as a clinical assistant professor of sports medicine, emergency medicine, and orthopaedic surgery at Northwestern Medicine. Currently, this expert served as an assistant team physician for a major league baseball team in Illinois and as a clinical associate professor of emergency medicine at a medical university in Iowa.
