This engineer has a wealth of experience in the fields of power electronics, system dynamics and control, and applied superconductivity. Having earned his doctoral degree in electrical and mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, he worked at the university for more than a decade, serving as a Principal Research Scientist, and was the Director of the MIT/Industry Consortium on Advanced Automotive Electrical/Electronic Components and Systems. At the General Electric Corporate Research and Development Center, he led a number of advanced development projects in applied superconductivity, including the largest superconducting generator (20 MVA) to be operated at full load. He has authored 50 publications and holds 11 patents, and is currently active both as an author and an inventor.
