This double board certified psychiatrist has been practicing for more than a decade. He completed residency training in general psychiatry at the University of New Mexico, and fellowship training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the same institution. He is currently a child psychiatrist at a major university medical center, where he also serves as an associate professor in the department of psychiatry and as the director of child psychiatric consultation services. His specific areas of expertise include pediatric brain injury, cultural issues with Hispanics and SW Native Americans, pediatric cancer and medical PTSD in children as well as misdiagnosis of medical conditions as being psychiatric in both children and adults.
