This highly qualified, double fellowship trained expert is highly active in both a clinical and academic setting. He received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, and two fellowships, one in cardiothoracic surgery and one in pediatric cardiac surgery, at Indiana University and Emory university respectively. In his current clinical position, he is responsible for cardiac surgical patients in the CICU, the cardiac stepdown unit, and operating rooms. In addition, he instructs cardiology fellows, cardiothoracic surgery fellows, nurses, respiratory therapists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, medical students, perfusionists, and other physicians in training. He is in the operating room 6-8 hours daily, 4 days a week. This expert has over 100 abstracts and publications on the varying treatments of a range of heart diseases and defects that are frequently featured in respected medical journals.
