Expert Qualifications

This highly qualified, board certified cardiologist has extensive professional experience. He specializes in complex heart disease, transplants and heart failure. This expert earned his BS in biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and his MD from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. After completing his medicine internship and his residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital, this expert went on to complete a prestigious cardiology fellowship at the University of Chicago Hospital. He is a member of various professional organizations, including the American Society of Transplantation, the American Society for Artificial Internal Organs, and the Heart Failure Society of America. He has published over 20 book chapters and nearly 50 publications relating to topics in his field. Formerly, he has served as an associate program director of the advanced heart failure and transplant fellowship program at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and an assistant professor of cardiology at the University of Chicago and Northwestern medical schools. Currently, this expert is an associate professor of cardiology at a top IL medical school, and the medical director of the mechanical cardiology support program and the program director of the advanced heart failure and transplant program at an IL hospital.
