This highly qualified expert earned his MD from First Moscow Medical Institute. He completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Hahnemann University School of Medicine and a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at the Scientific Research Institute of Critical Care in Moscow. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a fellow of the College of American Society of Critical Care Medicine and a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians. This expert is a member of distinguished national and international societies such as the Society of ultrasound in Medical education, the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, the American Society of Echocardiography and the Society of Ultrasound in Medical Education. He has published over 10 peer-reviewed articles and has authored 2 text books on critical care ultrasonography. This expert is currently a member of the American College of Cardiology ultrasound guidelines committee and serves a Director of Ultrasound education and Professor of Medicine at a major university.
