Expert Qualifications

This highly qualified expert has nearly 20 years of experience in the field of anesthesiology and perioperative medicine. She earned her MD from the University of Tennessee after receiving her BS in electrical engineering from the University of Virginia. She subsequently completed a surgery internship and an anesthesiology residency at the Medical College of Georgia. This expert is board-certified in anesthesiology and is active in her field as a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the Society for Education in Anesthesia, and the Society for Perioperative Assessment and Quality Improvement. She is also highly involved in research, having authored several publications and abstracts, as well as spoken as an invited lecturer at multiple conferences. She has formerly served as an assistant professor of anesthesiology at the Medical College of Georgia, Vanderbilt University, and Wake Forest University. Additionally, she served as the director of the patient simulation laboratory at Wake Forest University. Currently, this expert serves as the associate director of the perioperative assessment clinic and an associate professor of anesthesiology at a prominent university in North Carolina.
