Expert Qualifications

This highly-qualified expert has nearly 25 years of experience as a pathologist with expertise in surgical pathology, occupational lung disease, scanning electron microscopy and energy-dispersive x-ray spectroscopy, research biobanking, and immunohistochemistry. She received her AB in Chemistry from Princeton University before earning her MD from Duke University. She subsequently completed an anatomic and clinical pathology residency at Duke University and a fellowship in lung and environmental pathology in a joint program between Duke University and the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences. This expert is board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and is active in her field as a member of the College of American Pathologists. She is also highly involved in research, having authored several peer-reviewed publications and spoken as an invited speaker at multiple conferences. She has formerly served as an assistant professor of pathology at Saint Louis University, an associate pathologist with the Fairfield County Pathology Associates, a pathologist and research associate fellow for the tissue bank at Pfizer, and a research associate professor of pathology at Washington University at St. Louis. Currently, this expert is the owner of a pathology consultancy in Massachusetts, as well as a staff pathologist for a private practice.
