This expert is a Licensed Professional Engineer and a Certified Professional Traffic Operations Engineer with over 30 years experience in civil and traffic engineering, land planning and project management. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) and is also a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers, The Urban Land Institute and The International Council of Shopping Centers.He is currently a Senior Associate of an engineering firm. He is responsible for supervising the preparation of traffic and parking studies as well as roadway improvement and traffic signal plans. This expert has over 45 years of experience in the field of Traffic Engineering. He earned his BS at St. Louis University and his MA in Civil Engineering at the University of Arizona. He is a Licensed Civil Engineer and a Certified Traffic Operations Engineer. He is active in his field as a member of several professional societies including the Institute of Transportation Engineers. He has previously served as traffic engineer for the City of Albuquerque, Maricopa County Department of Transportation, and Pima County Department of Transportation, as well as a Senior Project Manager for Lee Engineering. He currently serves as a Traffic Engineering Consultant for a Consulting Firm in Arizona.

He is a certified senior field technician and certified in work zone safety by the International Municipal Signal Association. He spent 8 years as a traffic signal technician at Siemens. He has been certified as a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer by the Transportation Professional Certification Board, Washington, D.C. He previously spent 14 years as the Transportation Director for the City of Troy, Michigan and 5 years as a Highway Engineer for the Federal Highway Administration. He is a Past-President of the Intelligent Transportation Society of Michigan and has been recognized as a traffic engineering expert in litigation involving traffic crashes.

He earned his BS at Athens University of Economics and Business before earning his MS and PhD in civil engineering at Purdue University. He is active in his field as a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Institute of Transportation Engineers, and as the author of more than 25 peer-reviewed publications. He formerly served as a research program manager at the Center for Road Safety, as a consulting engineer at SGM Engineering, and as an assistant professor and associate director of the Institute for Sustainable Transportation and Logistics at SUNY Buffalo. He is currently an associate professor of civil engineering and the director of a center for transportation research at a major university in New York.
