She received her BSN in registered nursing from Texas Woman's University before earning her MSN in nursing education from Aspen University. She is a certified operating room nurse and formerly served as a guest lecturer in operating room nursing at the University of Houston Victoria. For nearly 30 years, this expert has served as an operating room registered nurse and unit educator at a hospital in Texas.
