In addition, he holds a FEMA certification in hospital incident command systems. This expert holds several professional memberships including being a member of the Florida Bar Association, the Florida Defense Lawyers Association and the Defense Research Institute, the American Society for Industrial Security, and the International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety. He earned his BS in political science and his MS in criminal justice from the University of Central Florida. He is a licensed security officer and security manager and stays active in his field as a member of the American Society for Industrial Security and the Gated Community Security Managers Association. Formerly, this expert held positions as a lieutenant and acting captain of criminal investigations, a patrol commander, and the staff director and chief of staff at the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. He has also served as the director of security at Isleworth Country Club & Isleworth Community Association as well as the director of public safety for Ocean Reef Public Safety Department. Currently, he is a security director for a university in Florida, a part-time contract investigator for a financial security services company based in Maryland, and the president of his own law enforcement and private security consultancy.
